Summer Engagement Session at UVA: Maggie & Henry

It’s hard not to think just how much has changed in such a short period of time. It’s a bit of ringing noise at this point, since we are all swimming through the ever-changing landscape of “normal,” but it still leaves room for reflection!

Maggie & Henry booked with me the week I returned from The Hybrid Co in March….and about a week later, our world shut down. Fast forward to June, and they reached out about an engagement session – one of my first sessions back! We talked about their wedding plans, and how planning has changed since covid hit….and just a few short months later, their plans have changed again. Instead of their original plan of a fall wedding, they’ll now celebrate next year! I’m so glad we at least got to celebrate with their engagement session at UVA while they were in town!

Wedding planning in light of covid may be marriage counseling in itself, and to all of you wonderful couples who have had their plans changed time and again, I hope you’re able to hold each other a little tighter through it all. This certainly isn’t easy to have one of your best days rearranged and changed, but I also hope it makes your celebration all that much sweeter when it’s finally here.
