Richmond Newborn Photos At Home: Olivia

The tenderness of welcoming a brand new little one home isn’t lost on me. The fragility of a newborn baby, along with parents who are walking through an incredibly huge life change and the fragility of the emotions that come into play. A healing mother, a brand new bond between family members, the stress, the lack of sleep, and the insane joy. It’s one of the most beautifully hard seasons, and I’m so grateful to step alongside such dear families during this season to document it for them…before it slips away.

After an unexpected NICU stay, it was a joyful celebration to document sweet Olivia with her family in those first few days at home. Nikki is a wonderful photographer herself, and I’m so grateful she welcomed me in to photograph these tender moments!
