Lifestyle One Year Old Portraits at Home in Charlottesville, VA: Porter

You may remember this cutie from his newborn and 6 month sessions….or you may simply not recognize him since one year brings a lot of change for the sweet little ones in our lives.

Since we did his first two sessions at home in Charlottesville, VA, we wanted to finish the year off with a few at home as well. Having the same location as the backdrop has (especially so meaningful to the Cox family) was such a delight, as it’s such a cohesive collection of images to really see Porter’s growth in his first year.

This time, we hopped outside too for some backyard photos before we drove to the pool at Fry’s Spring Beach Club where the Cox family has spent so much of their summer. I love when clients come up with locations that are special to them for a various set of reasons – it makes the photos even more meaningful for them, and it helps everyone to relax since it’s a familiar place. Being relaxed in a familiar place always helps to bring out those golden moments and emotions!
