Classic Charlottesville Farmington Country Club Wedding: Jess & John

Jess & John celebrated their wedding day with a quintessential Charlottesville wedding. These two first met through their time together in the Fellows program at Trinity Presbyterian Church here in Charlottesville, so it was only fitting that they would marry in the very same church. And in case you missed it, John proposed to Jess on UVA Grounds, which is where we did their engagement session this spring.

Jess & John’s wedding was one of those weddings where the room was full of countless people you know…they seemed to be connected to so many people in Charlottesville and what a joy it was to see all of those people in one place to celebrate their marriage! I actually first met Jess through my husband, as they both work at Journey Group in downtown Charlottesville. Our circles have since crossed during our time at Trinity, and well, many other places, as Charlottesville can feel like quite the small town sometimes since everyone seems to be connected somehow!

After their church ceremony, they celebrated at Farmington Country Club. The storm clouds were rolling in with gray skies, but thankfully, it only rained during bridal party photos and for some of their portraits. Thankfully, Farmington’s Jefferson Room is gorgeous in itself, so we grouped all inside for a classic wedding party portrait. Then, the clouds parted a bit for these two to have their photos outside on the lovely property.

Their reception was filled with laughter upon laughter, toasts that brought tears of joy, John being lifted in the air, John pretending to sing the first dance followed by a beautiful first dance as a married couple and one of the best father-daughter dances you could imagine. You could tell these two love so well, and they are so well loved. Many blessings to you both, Jess & John! It was an honor to photograph your simply beautiful wedding day!
