Natural Newborn Photos at Home in Charlottesville, VA

You may remember. this sweet family from their recent family session as Ashley was pregnant with sweet Afton…and you may remember  them from sessions throughout Porter’s first year of life! Well, they welcomed this little lady into their lives in the fall and I was honored to document their family during those first few weeks of her life.

Newborn sessions always take on a new vibrancy when siblings are involved, and it’s such a joy to see families grow and dynamics change. Not only is it an exciting change for Mom & Dad, but now big brothers and sisters get to join in on all the big emotions that come with another child. As always, my hope is that the photographs I get to create with a family bring the parents joy now, but I also hope that they engrave an even bigger story for the children as they grow and begin to understand their very own story among their family. Photographs truly transport in a way that can’t be described!
