Monticello Trail Lifestyle Family Session in Charlottesville

It’s always a treat & honor when another photographer reaches out about photographing their family. Ashley is a wonderful photographer herself, and I’m so grateful we were able to connect this summer for their family session! We spent some time exploring Monticello Trail, and I love how every session I schedule here feels so unique since there are so many spots to explore.

My favorite part of photographing families? Getting to know each family and finding those unique notes of connection that tell a story in the moments themselves. Kids will always be themselves, and I love nothing more than letting them lead. Forcing children to just sit and smile rarely works out well, so my goal is to let them simply be.  Sure, we play games and keep things lighthearted, but kids will tell the story that needs to be told if you just wait & watch.
