Amy and Alex both attended JMU, but didn’t end up meeting until they both happened to attend a mutual friend’s going away party. They hit it off that evening and went on their first date the following week, and well, as they say, the rest is history. Fast forward, and while on a vacation in Costa Rica, Alex led her on a hike to a beautiful waterfall tucked between mountains. He had written in a journal to her, and read it to her…and after reading the last page, he had tucked a ring in between the pages. He dropped to one knee and asked her to be his wife. Does it get any more adventurous and romantic?
I met Amy at JMU as well, as we had mutual friends throughout school. Every time I see her, she’s nothing short of happy! I’d venture to say that most of her friends agree that her smile is never-ending and something you’ll always remember about her. I officially met Alex at their engagement session at Waterperry Farm, and it was such a treat to see these two together. Alex simply adores her! You can tell these two are the type that live well, love well, and live to the fullest. Of course, their wedding day reflected that as well!
Of course, their wedding day reflected that as well! Though it was about 30 degrees, Amy gracefully endured the temperatures for all of the portraits. These two couldn’t stop smiling and simply enjoying that their day had finally come. They didn’t stress about the details. They didn’t stress about the cold. They simply enjoyed the day and loved on the people that come to celebrate them. And when the dancing started, there wasn’t a lull for the rest of the evening! Their friends and family certainly know how to have an amazing time! The entire dance floor was full the entire evening!
Congratulations, Amy & Alex! It was an honor to be a part of your beautiful day and I hope that joy will follow you wherever you two go in life together!
