“In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks.” // John Muir
In light of another possible snow dusting, I thought I’d share some film from the most beautiful snow storm a few weeks ago. I’m still in awe of how beautiful and quiet everything was. I love how snow so quickly quiets the busyness.
I had a few coffee dates the morning it started, as Nashville rarely gets snow. Sure, we get the forecasts, but it rarely pans out. Well, I was very wrong, as I woke up to a full blanket of snow first thing in the morning. And it was stunning.
Jeremy and I went on a walk right after our morning coffee, and when we got back, I grabbed one of my film cameras and took another walk. That afternoon, he took a lunch break and we headed up to 12 South for another cup of coffee. Then, that evening, we went out on another trek for dinner at Martin’s. Talk about peaceful….there’ nothing like a stroll in the snow with nothing but streetlights. It was simply stunning.
We went on at least 2-3 walks the following Saturday, and another walk or two on Sunday! We got quite the workout, but I could have walked all day every day to in this winter wonderland. I do wish I would have shot a few rolls once the sun came out…but hey, the gray is beautiful in its own way!!
