It’s no secret that Christmas is my favorite time of year. So much joy, celebration, anticipation and reflection. It’s filled with tradition and nostalgia, and well, I can’t get enough of either of those!
My Christmas process starts pretty early, as I absolutely adore the gift giving and gift wrapping process. And Christmas cards? Why yes, that’s one of my most favorite parts. I start thinking through the design (with help from my better half – the REAL designer) in November. I’m a huge fan of snail mail and anything tangible (sounds familiar, huh?) so stamping and prepping the cards is a favorite pastime with our glowing Christmas tree. So, above is a peek at the front of our Christmas card this year! (Thanks to the amazing Alyssa Joy for our beautiful photographs!)
In addition, I always love sending sweet gifts to my clients, because they are the reason I get to do this art that I love! I get to work with the most amazing, intentional and kind clients and I truly am so very grateful for them!
Ever since I was a little kid, I loved pulling out each ornament and hearing the story behind them. I have my favorite ornaments on my parents’ tree and Jeremy & I have continued the tradition with our own ornaments. So, I love to give my clients with an ornament celebrating their first Christmas together. To future brides & grooms, I send an ornament with their married initial to celebrate what’s to come.
For those who married this year, I sent them these polaroid ornaments with a favorite photograph! It changes each year since retailers change their offerings, but aren’t these so fun!?
Thank you so incredibly much to my amazing clients this year! Each one of you (wedding and family, alike!) are so dear to me. Thank you for trusting me to photograph and document your first day as husband and wife.
Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays to each and every one of you! Thank you for another incredible year.
Love this idea Amy! Do you mind sharing where you got these ornaments? Would love to pic up a few for our tree <3
Hi Amy! Where did you get these ornaments from? They are beautiful! Thanks in advance 🙂
Hi! They were from West Elm a few years ago and sadly they don’t make them anymore!
