I am SO thrilled to share this lovely shoot with you today!
Kelly Dellinger of KDE and I dreamed up a shoot in Charleston last year, and as our falls hit full force, we decided to wait it out a bit. Then, Kelly was graced with the joy of carrying sweet Lillian, so we decided to wait until spring to revisit the idea of making our vision come to life.
Though the dreaming happened months ahead, once Sunny of Karis Floral Design jumped on board, we hit the ground running (well, sprinting to be quite honest) to plan our Charleston shoot. Though we hit a few speed bumps, we ended up planning the shoot in a few weeks and were honored to work with the most incredible team of vendors in Charleston! And the venue, Legare Waring House ? Simply stunning!!
Our vision was to create a southern culinary inspired shoot that would bring all the elements of divine southern food along with the beautiful + vibrant colors of a summer lowcountry wedding, all with a few pops of luxe details like floral placements.
Lauren of Modern Trousseau Charleston also graced us with the opportunity to feature two exclusive gowns to the Charleston boutique: The Dixie gown which features oh-so-southern preppy pinstriped taffeta with a deep back finished with a bow + The June with its long sleeves of italian guipure lace perfectly paired with a full, ball gown skirt.
Cru Catering showed off their brilliant work with a menu full of unique flavors, vibrant colors and unmatched culinary talent–so perfect to tie together the culinary inspiration!
This shoot will definitely go down as a favorite of mine! Thank you so much to the amazing team who made it happen and knocked it out of the park with their amazing talent! Enjoy!
