Welcome to the World: Lillian Elizabeth Dellinger

“You may want to wait a bit, I think my water just broke…”

Kelly and I were coming our separate ways to meet at the park for a lovely afternoon in the spring sunshine. Then, I got the text that was the beginning of an incredible day for Kelly + Drew.

Lilly was ready to enter the world. Her mother and father had been awaiting her arrival and pulling the final pieces into place, and she came on her own precious timing.

I still remember the afternoon Kelly told me she was pregnant. We were meeting to talk through some styled shoot plans and after giving her my typical answer to”Anything new? How are you?,” she shared her updates…and she had a very different and very joyous answer!

Kelly and I met through working in the wedding community together (she’s the amazing woman behind Kelly Dellinger Events) and became sweet friends after planning a few shoots together and just keeping in touch as we were in similar phases with our businesses. We planned a shoot in Charleston in March (can’t wait to share soon!), so you may remember her maternity session from Charleston.

Kelly loves all things monogramed, Lilly Pulitzer and Charleston. She knows that city in and out, so our time there was the perfect treat before welcoming her first child. They even designed Lilly’s nursery around the colors and style of Charleston.

Drew + Kelly haven’t stopped smiling since the second she’s entered the world. Do you see that grin he has? He’s already wrapped around Lillian’s tiny little fingers!
